LOVE: What's the BIG deal?
Written by Jayse Miner

"There are literally chemicals in your brain that you can not control that give you the feeling that most people would consider to be love."

Valentine's day was celebrated with a bit of a different service around here at Xcel tonight as we kicked off in to our new series on, yes you guessed it, LOVE. With today being valentine's day, the service consisted of a very personal and protected survey along with an explination by Tad Tomaseski (aka Tad Tomaseski) of the difference between true love and just pure infatuation.

With the survey results gathered and counted, the next few weeks will be based on what the students had to say in the surveys themselves and how to deal with every day problems that people deal with. If you want to know what true love is and what true love isn't, make sure to come out to Xcel every Wednesday and Sunday night! I will see you there!

Super Bowl
Written by Jayse Miner

For those of you who missed it, we had an amazing time at the Xcel Super Bowl party! We had the game going in the sanctuary on a huge screen in the middle as well as our two normal screens on the sides, we had pizza and other good eating material in the lobby, as well as video game tournaments for those who don't neccesarily enjoy football or those who just decided to play video games instead!

Next Sunday we start up our new series and if you're curious as to what it is...You will just have to show up and find out for yourself! We will be starting at 5:30 so make sure that you are there and ready for a crazy night!

Establishing Your Finances
Written by Jayse Miner

As we put a close on our current series LIFE, we end it with the revealing of what 'E' means. Which as you have probably already guessed from the title is Establish Your Finances.

An equation that Trey used for not only our finances, but everything in our life is this: order x responsability = measure of rule, and while Trey used the equation in his message it was originally created by our lead pastor, Pastor Keith Craft. Trey also stated some important goals and actions on establishing your finances which included order your finances according to God's word and be responsible with your sacrifice.

To learn more on establishing your finances be sure to come out wednesday night to Underground where we wil be elaborating just a bit more on the subject. Also don't forget to check out next week's Sunday night xcel service as we dive head first in to our next series!

We've just recently entered the new series "LIFE". So far the "L" stands for "Leaving Home" and the "I" stands for "Involving Yourself." The two weeks have been great, and look forward to seeing the "F" and "E" at Xcel the next two weeks!

In case you don't know what Xcel is, here's a quick definition. "The coolest place ever!" Need I say more? Be there next Sunday night @5:30PM. Xcel is located at Main and Teel in Frisco, TX, right behind Kroger.

See you there!

365 Hour Challenge
Written by Jayse Miner

The decisions you make now, will determine where you are in life later.

A challenge has been declared on all who are willing to take it. A challenge that, while it may seem time wasting and tiresome during the process, ends with a result that you could not comprehend. To step up your game and live a 365 hour life of physical, mental, and spiritual growth that could possibly change the way that you live for the rest of your life. The only question is: Are you up for the challenge? If so, read on.

365 Hour Challenge

Physical Exercise

- The physical exercise is part 1 of the challenge. At least 9 out of the 15 days that the challenge consists of. Whether it's getting in to the gym and busting out weight lifting or running around you're block once or twice a day. The physical exercise portion has the potential to turn in to a life time fitness commitment that in the end will benefit more than just your body.

+ Daily Prayer Log

- The daily prayer log is the second part of the challenge. Even if it is one sentence that you commit to write every day. That one sentence could grow into a paragraph of prayer. You then use that written prayer log to help convey the prayer to God easier and you are able to look back on what God has done for you since it was started. You will see the difference in the prayers even just within the 15 days of commitment.

+ Read Bible Daily

- The bible reading consists of the proverb of the day (For example: January 4th you would read Proverb 4) and 2 chapters of the book Acts in the bible as well. The bible is commonly portrayed as boring, when in fact it is one of the most exciting books you'll ever read. If it wasn't that great, it wouldn't have lasted over 2,000 years! Reading even just the proverb of the day will prepare you to be able to defend your faith in God when it is challenged, because it WILL be challenged. God can only pull out what you have put inside yourself, so over the next 15 days take 15-20 minutes out of the 1440 minutes in a day to download His word into yourself.

+ Tell 3 Friends About God

- Grab three people you know that don't know God, and tell them a bit about God. Not just through your words, but through your actions. Even if telling them about God is inviting them out to Elevate Life Church (formerly known as Celebration Covenant Church) or Xcel. You don't even have to let them know that it's a church that they are going to! It's a party that we have every Sunday night and there will be music, food, and time to just hang out. You never know what you are passing up when you choose to not invite people out.

Are you going to be the change, or sit on the sidelines and watch it? It's your choice.
